Administrative/Biographical History Note

The Board of Trustees of the College of Southern Idaho was created in 1965, when the College was founded. The College of Southern Idaho is governed by a volunteer five-member board of trustees who are elected at large from within Twin Falls and Jerome Counties for staggered, four-year terms. Trustees derive their authority from and hold office in accordance to the state of Idaho Code.

Scope and Content Note

The Records of the Board of Trustees include the minutes, bylaws, and regulations of the College of Southern Idaho Board of Trustees. The vast majority of the documents in this collection are minutes of monthly meetings, which are present from 1965 to the present day. These records cover topics ranging from various social and political movements thorughout the history of the College to specific technological developments that affected College operations.
